The stunning view from the large first-floor room was a highlight, complemented by a comfortable mattress and lovely linen. Breakfast was a noteworthy experience, generous and delicious, with friendly service that made the mornings pleasant. Although I'm accustomed to ensuite facilities, the arrangement of a washbasin in the room with bathroom access across the landing was not an inconvenience at all. The option for an early breakfast was great for our hiking plans.

Fantastic pub, fantastic location, the hearty breakfast kept us going all day and the friendly staff made our stay extra enjoyable. Its proximity to Leeds Bradford International Airport made our travel logistics seamless.
Not a single issue.

Cozy atmosphere with a crackling log fire inviting you in from the cold. The shared bathrooms, while communal, felt surprisingly clean and well-maintained, making the morning rush more bearable.
Showers left a bit to be desired, with unpredictability in water temperature and an overly loose shower head leading to fumbling. The step down from the bathroom struck me as a bit of a hazard without a handrail, something that could catch you off guard in the darkness of early morning. Mattress comfort ranged from decent to lackluster, which might not suit every traveler, especially after a long day on your feet.

Had a great time with friends! The place was super cozy, and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed darts and had a hearty breakfast that fueled our hiking. It’s good to know they offer bikes storage too! Just a heads up, book dinner in advance. options are limited.
One downside was the noise from the church bells. Some in our group found it disruptive, though I managed to sleep through it.

Brilliant hospitality and breakfast
We had a lovely stay for a night! Joff, the landlord, was super friendly and helped us out with a meal when the other pub was closed. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic! A bit of a letdown that our room wasn't ensuite, but we made it work. The lounge area for drinks was cozy too.
